We Invite you to Worship

  • 9:15 Sunday morning service - A liturgy including Holy Communion and festivals. 

(Summer hours will continue June 13 through September 5, 2010.  Regular worship times of 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. will start September 12, 2010)

Professionally staffed nursery care is now available every Sunday from 9:00 am-noon.

We Invite you to Study

  • Sunday Morning Education hour starting 9:15AM (during the school year) - A time for people of all ages, preschool through adulthood, to gather and explore together the scriptures and their meaning for our lives.
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group - Come together for study and discussion at the Wednesday morning Bible study. If you’d like to join the group, you may do so at any time.
  • Wednesday Evening Book of Faith Bible Study - The study of the the Gospel of John will begin on Wednesday, April 7th at 7:30 pm and continue for eight sessions. If you are interested in being a part of this study, speak to Pastor and he will give you a copy of the study booklet.
  • Solo Study - Many at Salem use the “Christ in our home” pamphlet for daily Bible reading and devotion.  Another called “Solo” and contains readings and methods for prayer for 185 days using the Message translation. If anyone would like to try it as well, please see Liz.

  • August 1st 5:00PM, Summer block party, with bands, games, and hot dogs. A casual evening for our members, friends, and neighbors. Come one, come all!

Future Events

  • September 11, 8:00am Men's Jump Start Breakfast
  • September 12, Rally Day. We return to two services, Sunday School and some special Adult Forums begin, and there's a picnic at noon! Invite your friends as well. We do great cookouts at Salem!
  • September 22, Wednesday, Dr. Peter Steinke will return to review his report with us. We plan a potluck and meeting open to all interested persons.

Special Projects

  • Community Garden - Salem’s plot in the community garden on Charles St. is well underway. This year, we’d like to not only garden (and give the produce to the hungry), but get to know the other gardeners. Thanks to those who have signed up, it’s happening! If you’d like to help with occasional weeding and watering, talk to John W.
