Welcome from Salem Lutheran Church
Bridgeport, CT

We are a community of Christian disciples called by the Holy Spirit. In response to God’s transforming love, we share our joy through praise and service.

We Invite you to Worship

  • Sundays at 8:15AM - A service of hymns, scripture, preaching, prayer and Holy Communion.

  • Sundays at 10:30AM  - A liturgy including Holy Communion on first and third Sundays and festivals.  Nursery care and activity hour are available for younger children during worship if parents prefer not to have them in church.

We Invite you to Study

  • Sundays at 9:15AM (during the school year) - A time for people of all ages, preschool through adulthood, to gather and explore together the scriptures and their meaning for our lives.
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group - Come together for study and discussion at the Wednesday morning Bible study. If you’d like to join the group, you may do so at any time.
  • Solo Study - Many at Salem use the “Christ in our home” pamphlet for daily Bible reading and devotion.  Another called “Solo” and contains readings and methods for prayer for 185 days using the Message translation. If anyone would like to try it as well, please see Liz Frohrip.

And The One seated on the throne said,
"See, I am making all things new."

Salem Lutheran Church is a body of Christian believers
who know that God has created us to be more than a
sum of our parts; to live beyond simply who and what we are.
We believe He is "making all things new" in and though us.
